Deposit Match Bonus: WSOP will match your deposit 100% up to $1,000 as you earn APPs while playing cash games and tournaments. The funds are initially added directly into a player’s restricted bonus account and may not be accessed or wagered directly. Instead, the funds are released over time as the player earns APPs. The amount of this bonus will be 100% of the player’s qualifying deposit, between $10 and $1,000.

Players need to earn 50 APPs for every $5 to be moved from the restricted bonus account into a player’s real-money bankroll. Funds are not released in partial increments, so it would behoove players to make deposits in multiples of $5.

For example, if you deposit $104, you would only have $100 applied to the bonus, and the remaining $3 would not be applied as it does not fulfill the $5 minimum requirement. Bonus funds are not released for APPs earned that do not fulfill the APP increment.

All APP requirements must be fulfilled within 90 days of the credit being awarded. Any portion not released within 90 days is voided. If players need to meet a specific APP total, they can make additional deposits following the qualifying deposit. WSOP Rakeback Bonus

Rakeback deals are not included at WSOP, but there is a solid welcome deal and additional promotions for players to explore. As a new member, you receive up to $100 in free play plus a deposit match bonus. The site provides multiple ways for you to earn bonus cash via promotions.

Make your first deposit from $10 to $1,000 to earn free play cash. A $10-$250 deposit earns $25. A $251-$500 earns $50, and a $501 to $999 deposit receives $75. Adding $1,000 or more means earning $100 in extra bonus funds.

WSOP Poker Variants Offered

No-limit hold’em: No-limit Texas hold’em is the most popular variant of poker played online and probably the game you are most familiar with. For those that aren’t, let’s run down just how this game is played.

To start with, players are dealt two cards face-down and given a chance to bet or fold. Once all players have made their initial bets, the dealer will then deal three cards face-up on the table for all players to share.

This is called the flop, and the cards are referred to as community cards. The flop is followed by another round of betting from all players. A fourth card, called the turn, is then dealt face up, followed by another round of betting. One final community card, known as the river, is then dealt, and one last round of betting occurs.

When all bets are in, all players show their cards, with the highest-ranking hand taking the pot. The lowest ranking hand is a high card if no player has a pair. The highest value is a royal flush that contains five cards in the same suit and in sequence.

The odds of a royal flush in hold’em are 1-in-30,940 hands, but it is a guaranteed win. As the name suggests, there is no limit to how much you can wager on a hand of this game.

Omaha: The Omaha variant of poker is another very popular game in casinos around the world. The game has similarities to hold’em, but with a few key differences. Each player is initially dealt two cards instead of four. While this makes the game a bit more flexible to play, there is a catch.

When playing Omaha, you must use exactly two of your four initial cards to make the best possible hand. In hold’em, you needn’t use any of your initial cards. But, in Omaha, you are locked into two of four choices.

There are pot-limit, fixed-limit, and no-limit variations offered at WSOP. Omaha Hi/Low, where the pot is split between the highest and lowest hands, is also available online. When it comes to WSOP micro stakes options, Omaha is a great choice, with limits starting at just $0.05, but be aware that there are only two tables for eight players.

Seven-card stud: Many consider seven-card stud an old-school game, but it remains very popular amongst casino players. Play begins when the dealer burns a card and deals each player with three cards. The first two cards are dealt face down while the final card, called third street, is dealt face up. This is followed up by a round of betting that begins with the player who has the lowest third street card.

Play continues to the left, with each player choosing to call, raise or fold. The dealer then deals another round of cards to players called fourth street. This time around, the betting starts with the player with the highest fourth street card. This is how the betting order is determined for the rest of the round.

The betting in the second round is set at the lower limit stake, while the initial round and the third round are set at the higher limit. If, after the fourth street cards are dealt, any players have a pair in their face-up cards, that player has the option to bet at a higher limit stake.

If they choose this option, all other players must follow suit. A fifth and sixth street round of cards and betting is done in the same way.

The final card, known as the river, is dealt face down to each player, followed by another round of betting. After all river bets are in, the “showdown" begins. The player who bet last in the final round turns their face down cards first, followed by each other player going around the table clockwise.

Players may choose to “muck" or fold their hands instead of revealing them during the showdown. The best five-card hand wins.

Guaranteed Tournaments

The term guarantee rarely pops up in the world of online casinos, but the WSOP offers “guaranteed" poker tournaments to players. So, what exactly do these tournaments guarantee? The guarantee that these tournaments refer to pertains to the minimum amount of money in the prize pool.

So, if a tournament advertises as a $1 million guarantee, that means the casino pledges to pay out $1 million no matter what. This is important because some tournaments have fewer entrants than others.

This means the payouts vary from tournament to tournament. If a tournament has far fewer entrants than expected, this could result in what is called an “overlay." This means that the casino has overestimated the interest in a particular tournament and has to put house money into the prize pool in order to meet the promised pot.

This is something that casinos try very hard to avoid, but due to the sheer number of tournaments, it is more common than many might think.

The WSOP platform makes it easy for players to sort for the type of game. Options include knock-out and rebuy games along with guaranteed games. Some of these guaranteed tournaments are free to play, too, so keep an eye out for a chance to win some free money. Those free tournaments still offer pots in the hundreds of dollars.

Now that the NFL football season is over, many will be looking for another activity to fill their Sundays. Enter WSOP’s $100,000 Sundays. The tournament starts promptly at 6 p.m. ET every Sunday for a buy-in of $320. Players can also earn a seat via freerolls and cheaper satellites.

Players need a valid WSOP real-money account. To register, click the tournament tab on the main menu and then double-click the event to join. Confirm that you wish to proceed and pay the buy-in.

Once registered, if the game is in progress, players are automatically seated. The game is no-limit hold’em, and winning players will have the money in their account within 72 hours. While there are lesser tournaments that run during the week in NJ, NV, and PA, Sunday is the day for those players who want a chance to win big on a weekly basis.

For those that prefer a low-risk game, free-to-play guaranteed tournaments and ones with more affordable buy-ins are available. The major advantage to all this is the variety of options players have to choose from, ranging from free entries to buy-in north of $300.

BLAST Poker

BLAST poker at WSOP is a very fast-paced and exciting way to play online poker. The game is a four-handed game of Texas hold’em sit-and-go that will challenge even the most seasoned of veterans. For those unaware, sit-and-go events are tournaments that are offered 24/7 and have no specific schedule tied to them.

Their only requirement is a minimum player count. Once that number is reached, the tournament starts, and players “sit-and-go." These games are pretty quick and can last less than an hour. This makes it easier for players to hop into a tournament without having to budget an entire afternoon for it.

Getting back to BLAST poker, the prize pool is based on the draw that takes place at the start of each tournament. The draw fluctuates between 2x and 10,000x the buy-in for the selected event. The start of the tournament also starts the BLAST timer.

The timer counts down, and when it runs out, all players are forced to go all-in until a winner emerges. The higher the multiplier applied, the longer the BLAST timer.

To register for a BLAST Sit-and-Go tournament, just click on the tab featuring the giant BLAST logo emblazoned on it. When the tab is clicked on, it brings up a page with five different buy-in levels to choose from, between $0.10 all the way up to $30.

Simply select the buy-in you want and choose the number of games, between one and four, that you want to sign up for at once.

When three other players register for the same event, the draw occurs, and the BLAST counter starts. Their draw determines the prize pool, and the multiplier is randomized based on a probability table. The tables vary between different buy-ins. For example, the $0.10 buy-in prize pool multiplier maxes out at 10,000x with a prize pool of $1,000 at a frequency of 10-on-1,000,000.

The prize pool multiplier at 2x with a prize pool of $0.20 is 575,000-in-1,000,000 for comparison. The $30 buy-in maxes out at 10,000x as well, but the prize pool rockets to $300,000. The odds are the same 1-in-a-million that they are for the $0.10 buy-in.

When the tournament starts, each BLAST player is given a stack of 1,500 chips, no matter the prize pool or multiplier. The prize pool distribution varies depending on the prize pool multiplier. At 2x, the first-place winner takes the whole pot leaving everyone else with nothing.

Tournaments with a 5x multiplier award 70% to first place and 30% to second. Multipliers of 10x and 100x time award first place 60%, second place 25%, and third place 15%. The remaining multipliers pay first 60%, second 20%, third 10%, and fourth 10%.

WSOP Rakeback Reward Program

The WSOP poker platform uses what is known as a rakeback reward program instead of the traditional rollover requirements from other casinos. Rakeback can be looked at as a form of passive earning that rewards players for every bet they make on eligible games.

This is the program that awards the APPs that are used to release bonus funds from a player’s restricted bonus funds.

WSOP makes it easy to participate, and all players need to do is join the rewards program and start playing real-money games. The program offers more than just APPs to release funds. Players can also collect APPs to reach monthly and yearly levels that offer extra bonuses.

For example, players that reach bronze status with 200 APPs in a month can then convert them into WSOP points that can be redeemed for real money with a 4x multiplier.

Silver status is earned at 750 monthly APPs and elite at 1,500. Those levels offer a multiplier of 10x and 12.5x times, respectively. Finally, there is the champions club which is awarded to those who earn 20,000 APPs over the course of a year and gives players a 16x WSOP point multiplier.

WSOP Satellites To Las Vegas

WSOP Satellite events are available to eligible players within the United States who compete with the goal of earning a seat at the annual World Series of Poker Main Event. Usually, it costs $10,000 to buy a spot in the tournament. But some of these satellite tournaments have a buy-in of less than a dollar.

Chris Moneymaker entered his first World Series of Poker Main Event because he won a satellite tournament online with a $86 buy-in. Moneymaker went on to win the event and $2.5 million.

By entering these satellite tournaments, players win their buy-in to the WSOP for a few bucks or less. Players can also choose to keep the prize money and not use it as a way to buy into the WSOP main event. Players that win more than one seat can use it to re-enter the main event or just take it home.

Winners from New Jersey who win their first seat to the main event but cant travel will be given an online tournament ticket.

For example, the 2021 WSOP Circuit Las Vegas Satellites were a series of online events that ran in the spring and guaranteed the winner a seat at the Main Event Tournament. The buy-in for these tournaments was $30, and they paid out $1,700 to the winner.

That particular tournament was only available to players in New Jersey and Nevada.

How To Download & Register At WSOP.com

Apple Mobile Devices

For Apple iOS users, simply head over to the Apple Store and search for the WSOP Real Money Poker app and select the download. Users can also go directly to WSOP.com/download/poker for options to download in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, and Nevada. After downloading, launch the app.

Once inside, you will be prompted to log in to an existing account or register if you do not already have one. Registering is a simple three-step process that requires you to enter some personal information, including name, address, and SSN. The software also adds an extra layer of protection via security questions.

Android Mobile Devices

Android users will have very much the same experience as their iPhone counterparts when trying to install the WSOP Real Money Poker app. Head on over to the google app store or the link added in the above section, choose your state, and download the WSOP Real Money Poker app.

When the client is downloaded, open the app and go through the three-step registration process. Simply enter some personal information such as a home address, date of birth, and social security number. Then it is just a matter of responding to the confirmation email and adding some banking info to fund said account.

Laptop/Desktop Computers

The process of downloading the WSOP Real Money App varies slightly when moving from mobile to desktop. The easiest way to do this is to head here to select your state and operating system.

For players that use Windows as their operating system, select “run" in the download manager when it pops up after you click the download button. Save the file and then run the program from the desktop shortcut.

WSOP gives users the option to speak with a customer service representative via email, phone, or on the app while they are logged in using the support chat.

To enter this area, log into your account, select the cashier, and click help to open the chat. Live assistance is available daily from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. in NJ, 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. in NV, and 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. in PA. There is also a FAQ Page that offers solutions to common issues.

A few notes on the process of withdrawal and deposit methods are listed above. Cash at cage withdrawals must be initiated online. Who Can Play On WSOP?

Any person over the age of 21 and physically in New Jersey, Michigan, Nevada, or Pennsylvania is eligible to play for real money on WSOP.com. The platform allows players from NJ and NV to share player pools across state lines and compete against each other. At time of writing, Pennsylvania and Michigan players are ring-fenced and can only play within the respective state.

To ensure that players remain compliant, geolocation software is utilized that verifies your location when playing on PC and Mac. The mobile version of the software has geolocation software built in.

To download, click the button and follow the instructions on the screen when prompted. Once installed, the plugin will track your IP Location, Wi-Fi network location, and whether or not you are running any remote desktop software.

WSOP Online Championships

The WSOP user experience offers a ton of options for casual players and seasoned veterans alike. One of the more interesting options for players in New Jersey and Nevada is to participate in periodic Online Championship tournaments. These tournaments run for about a month and offer guaranteed pots in the millions.

The most recent event was the Fall Online Championship which offered over $2.5 million in guarantees plus the chance to win a physical championship belt. Other tournaments in 2021 offered guarantees of $4 million and $6 million.

At the time of writing, the next event on the schedule was the Winter Online Championship, which ends on March 6, 2022, with a guaranteed pot north of $1.5 million.

The Online Championship tournaments are really just a series of daily competitions to enter with buy-ins ranging from $11 with a GTD of $22,000 to $1,000 with a GTD of $75,000. During the course of this event, there are at least three events daily to participate in and earn points.

To register for these tournaments within the WSOP.com client, just click on the Tournament tab and select the event you wish to participate in.

To be eligible, a player must first have a verified real money account within the state at the time. Funds will be added to the winners’ accounts within 72 hours of the end of the event. The Championship belts ship within 10 weeks of the end of the event to the address listed on your WSOP account.

My WSOP.com Poker Experience

When you fire up the software, you will be presented with several options to choose from on the main menu screen. The top menu bar offers users links to the most used areas of the software, including profile, cashier, setting, promotions, and a help section.

The main window has a list of poker tables aimed at beginner players that are live or coming up soon. Some examples of these games are no-limit Texas hold’em and sit-and-go nine-seat turbo.

Use the buttons above the table list to toggle the type of games you wish to filter out in order to find the game that suits you the best. There are quick seat games with stakes between 50 cents up to $25 and pots in the $1,500 range.

The BLAST Poker games mentioned above are also accessible using these buttons. One of the more interesting aspects of these BLAST games is the ability to observe recently finished games. This can help new players learn the ropes or give pro players an additional edge by learning more about the game and the other players involved.

The main tab on this menu is the all games button and, as the name suggests, brings up a sortable list of every game and tournament offered on the platform. Players have the ability to sort games by type, such as hold’em, Omaha, Stud, Sit-and-Go, and tournaments.

The games can further be filtered by whether or not they incorporate freerolls, satellites, and any special events.

There is also an option to switch from real money to play money. This allows players a number of advantages, such as learning, practicing, or just sitting down and killing some time without the pressure of having real-world money on the line.

As far as promotions go, WSOP has a strong offering that players, new and returning, can make the most of. From solid sign-up bonuses to reload bonuses to online championship events.

These, along with a ton of tournaments, comprehensive leaderboards, and the ability to win real championship belts and gold bracelets, make WSOP a great option for players new and old. As mentioned above, players from New Jersey and Nevada can compete against each other in what is known as liquidity sharing or pooling players. This effectively doubles the player base for those users and offers a wider range of games and tournaments with larger prize pools.

This liquidity sharing also allows players from New Jersey to compete for WSOP gold bracelets from the comfort of their own homes.

While Pennsylvania and Michigan players are currently ring-fenced and cannot participate in interstate events, we will likely see that change in the near future. With the positive developments in The 1961 Wire Act, we should see several states jump on board and try to form compacts in the future, with the Keystone State and Wolverine State expected to be two of them.

If Pennsylvania and Michigan join forces with New Jersey and Nevada, it will open the door for PA and MI players to compete for the coveted World Series of Poker golden bracelets.

This is a big deal because tournaments are really what the whole WSOP platform is built on. Even without the team up with NJ and NV, players in PA and MI still have a ton of games to enjoy at all hours of the day and night.
