Players at BetMGM Casino in Pennsylvania and New Jersey will have access to all-new roulette and blackjack games. The operator has launched branded versions of both games in partnership with the NBA franchise the Philadelphia 76ers. This comes as the result of a long-standing relationship between the two parties.

The new games will feature the branding and colors of the popular basketball team.

BetMGM Casino has developed the tables with the help of Evolution, the operator’s live casino provider. The partnership between the 76ers and BetMGM extends back to December 2020. The two parties signed a deal that would see BetMGM become the team’s official sports betting and casino partner.

This partnership has seen BetMGM’s branded heavily featured on Philadelphia 76ers matchdays, with their logo all around the arena in prominent positions. The deal has also seen the two parties create a range of digital content together. BetMGM is heavily featured on the franchise’s social media pages and vice versa. Fan engagement and digital campaigns are a big part of the partnership.

There have also been other perks that have come from the deal. MGM Resorts’ Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ is designated as an Official Away Game Host of the Philadelphia 76ers. As part of this, the Philadelphia 76ers have been able to hold events for fans and corporate sponsors at the designated venues.

The new games will offer players an immersive gaming experience. As part of the game, players will be sitting in a virtual version of the 76ers’ home venue. Both games will boast top-quality animations and enhanced graphics. They will also feature a range of betting options and popular side-bets. The two-game will also feature a “Go Live" option. This will allow players to walk onto the hardwood and play the game they are playing live.

The director of gaming at BetMGM, Oliver Bartlett, spoke with great enthusiasm about the launch. He said, “We are proud to broaden our partnership with the 76ers, a historic NBA franchise, through the introduction of these new branded roulette and blackjack games. These games are great additions to BetMGM’s ever-growing casino offerings in New Jersey and Pennsylvania."

The Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Philadelphia 76ers, Owen Morin, echoed these sentiments. He said that “BetMGM has been an incredible partner over the last two seasons, and we’re excited to showcase our growing collaborations with the introduction of 76ers Roulette and Blackjack".

The games are expected to be a massive hit with 76ers fans and other players. Morin finished by saying that, “We know that these new, innovative offerings will be a big hit with 76ers fans throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania."

Basics of Online Blackjack & Roulette

No online casino is complete without a selection of blackjack and roulette games for its players to choose from. The two titles are arguably the most popular in the world, including in the Garden State and Keystone State and they can come in a variety of different shapes and sizes.

Online Blackjack

Blackjack is one of the oldest and most iconic card games globally. Its roots can be traced back to the 17th century, with some believing it could go even further back than that. The reason for the game’s enduring popularity over the years is its simplicity. It takes very little time to understand the rules and play blackjack, and a game itself takes a matter of minutes.

The aim of blackjack is simple - beat the dealer. At the start of the game, players are dealt two cards, with the dealer also dealing themselves two cards. The aim of the game is to reach or get as close to 21 as possible.

If a player goes over 21, then they are bust. Once they have been dealt their initial two cards, players can choose to stick or twist. Twisting, or sometimes referred to as hitting, involves receiving another card, while sticking involves staying with the hand you have.

This is the basic premise of the game blackjack. You will find different variations on this game at online casinos, but the basic premise largely remains the same. Many casinos offer multi-hand versions of the game where you can play multiple hands against the dealer at once. Different side-bets will also be available in different versions of the game that may enhance the experience and provide more winning opportunities for players.

Online Roulette

Roulette also has a long and storied history. The earliest versions of the game were played in the 17th and 18th centuries, and the game has seen a lot of developments since then. Like blackjack, roulette has stood the test of time because of its simplicity.

In the game, a ball is dropped onto a roulette wheel, and players must attempt to guess where it will land when it stops spinning. There are several different versions of the roulette wheel, but the two you are most likely to find at an online casino are European and American. The European wheel is the classic version, and it features 37 segments - 18 red, 18 black numbered 1-36, and one green numbered zero. On the American version, there are two number zeros.

To play the game, players need to pick their bets. Betting options are split into categories - outside bets and inside bets. The former is the more commonly placed and involves options like red/black, 1-18/19-36, odd/even, or column bets. Inside bets typically feature longer odds and could involve picking a single number, splitting between two numbers, or selecting different amounts of numbers.

The odds of a roulette game mostly stay the same, but in some instances, casinos may have different features such as insurance bets that can help tip the odds in a player’s favor.
